School Garden

Projects

While we were off enjoying and relaxing during the summer our garden certainly didn't take any time off! One of the first things we noticed was the wonderful colourful display of wild flowers that had majestically grown over the summer months. The children are having great fun examining caterpillars and butterflies that have been attracted to the blooms. It has definitely surpassed all our expectations.

Our polytunnel was busy too! The 15 squash seeds that were planted have exploded into a jungle like growth and is now bursting out the door! Alot of squashes are growing though and it is hoped to have a few pumpkins by Halloween. We might need some helpers once the squashes have been harvested to clear the beds so we can re-plant.

What a difference two months make!
